We all identify as “Firefighters”, from the “Boot” to the “Chief”, we all all Firefighters. I think this is a great thing! But, it can have it’s down side as well. We all have to remember, each time we get promoted, it is like starting a new job. We all have to learn our way. So, if you find yourself working for a newly promoted officer of any rank, don’t stand in their way. Help them get it figured out, just as others helped you!

Major Incidents:

• In 1993, a tugboat and barge struck a railway bridge near Mobile, AL.  Minutes later an Amtrak train traveling 70 mph derailed at the bridge killing 47 people and injuring 103. 
• A fire at the Study Club nightclub in Detroit, MI in 1929 killed 22 and injured over 50 more
