• In 1945, after the secret mission of delivering the parts of the first nuclear bomb ever dropped in anger, the USS Indianapolis is torpedoed and sunk.  Around 300 wend down with the ship and 900 entered the water.  Only 316 were rescued after days in shark infested waters
